Lebanese commemorating tragedy of Karbala

BEIRUT, Lebanon: Like other parts of the world, grand Hosayni mourning programs continued in Lebanon in remembrance of Chief of Martyrs Al-Imam Al-Hosayn bin Ali bin Abi Taleb (p) and his 72 near and dear ones who laid that eternal sacrifices some 1,400 years back for the eminence of Islam and safety of humanity that are incomparable.

Majalis Al-Aza are being held by different organizations including Supreme Shiia Council, Hezbollah, Jafari House of Verdicts and Amal at Mosques and Hosayniaat in the country including Hosayniah Al-Imam Al-Hosayn in Borg Al-Baragna, Islamic Studies Center for Ahlo Beyt Jurisprudence in Hara Harek, Hosayniah Ahlol Beyt Be’r Hasan near Manar House, Headquarters of Supreme Shiia Council, Adham Khangar hall in Al-Maseleh, Al-Hosayni club in Nabtiah, Al-Imamayn Al-Hasanayn Mosque, Sayyedah Kholah Site in Belabak, Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Taleb mosque in Alboshria dam and Al-Imam Al-Mahdi Society in Ghaziah.

Hosts of black-dressed mourners, both Muslim and Christians attend. Quoting sayings of holy Prophet Muhammad Al-Mustafa (p) about the lofty status of his beloved grandson Imam Hussain bin Ali (p), speakers highlight the great objective of the Chief of Youths of Paradise Al-Imam Al-Hosayn (p) and depict his martyrdom.

Wails are heard and tears are seen rolling on the cheeks of Hosayni mourners when Masa’ib (sufferings) of the grandson of holy Prophet (p) Al-Imam Abee Abdellah Al-Hosayn and his sincere companions are described.

Sayed Nasrat Qashaqash addresses Majalis Al-Azaa organized by Deputy head of Supreme Shiia Council Sheikh Abdel Amir Qoblan and Jafari House of Verdicts while Sheikh Hasan Shahin and others recite elegies.

Grand Mourning processions are also being taken out from different parts of the country to pay homage to Karbala Martyrs.
