Majalis, processions mark start of Ashra-e-Sharikatul Hussain (p) in Pak

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan – 21 February: Ashra of Sharikatul Hussain (co-partner of Hazrat Imam Hussain A.S.) began on 11 Muharram-ul-Haram throughout the country to pay homage to extreme patience and firmness displayed by Hazrat Zainab bint-e-Ali (A.S.).

In this connection, majalis-e-aza were held and matmi processions were taken out from across the country including twin cities of federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

In Rawalpindi, participants of the main procession that was taken out from the residence of late Bawa Syed Karam Hussain Shah performed great zanjirzani at Chuhr Chowk. Matmi corps from across the division participated in noha khwani and matam dari.

On this occasion, Allama Agha Ali Hussain Najafi while addressing a majlis-e-aza at Malik House said Hussain ibn-e-Ali (A.S.) rendered supreme sacrifices along with his 72 near and dear ones for defence and protection of Shariah, while Sharikatul Hussain Hazrat Zainab bint-e-Ali (A.S.) and Syed-us Sajideen Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.) practically displayed patience and firmness in the bazaars of Kufa and Syria and courts of Yazid and Ibn-e-Zyad for protection of blood of martyrs as well as safety and promotion of Mission-e-Hussainiyat. He said Aseeran-e-Karbala despite being chained lifted the veil from the face of Yazidiyat and thus presented its true picture to the world. He urged the need of disseminating Hussainiyat even today to erase every oppressor and make this world a hub of peace.

A resolution presented by Stage Secretary of the program was adopted unanimously by the participants of the majlis-e-aza. The resolution lamented over non-giving of additional holiday by the government as Ashura fell on Sunday. It said that whenever Eid festival falls on a closed holiday, the government gives an additional holiday but this practice was not exercised on Ashura. Moreover, the District governments announce local holidays on Urs and match but none of them save Quetta has given local holiday on Muharram 11.

Another resolution severely condemned political slogan mongering by a banned terrorist organization in the central procession of Ashura Day, and made clear that Azadaran-e-Hussain (A.S.) have no link with these elements. Therefore, administration is under obligation to curb such elements before-hand so that Azadari of Mazloom-e-Karbala (A.S.) and sanctity of Matmi procession may not be hurt. The resolution asserted that Azadaran and Matmiyan have no link with any banned terror organization.

The participants of the majlis reiterated their resolve that all Azadaran-e-Hussain (A.S.) will fully follow Code of Azadari issued by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi till 8 Rabi-ul-Awwal like first Ashra of Muharram-ul-Haram.

Later, the grand procession culminated at the shrine of Sakhi Shah Pyara Kazmi Al-Mash’hadi after touching through its designated routes.

Hussainiyat showered undying radiance to Mourners, Moosavi in Ashura message

The religion, with which Prophets and Messengers (A.S.) were sent, they from Adam (A.S.) to Khatem (SAW) preached it, and advised to follow it, is Islam.
