Qom festive gathering highlights significance of Ghadir By: Sheikh Muhammad Khurasani HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Students, scholars and professors of Ar-Rasol Al-Azem (s.w.) madressa called on Ayatullah Seyed Sadeq Ash-Shirzi on the eve of Eid Al-Ghadir at Bayt-osh Shirzai in the holy city of Qom, home to the holy shrine of Sayyedeh Fatimeh Al-Masoumeh (a.s.). Both sides greeted each other marking the auspicious occasion. Ayatullah Ash-Shirzi while throwing light on Eid Al-Ghadir said Ghadir and Quran both keep same culture, and Islam makes up of these two. He said the culture and display of Ghadir is 18 Zol-hijja when holy Prophet (s.w.) by raising the hand of Ali (a.s.) in front of more than 100,000 pilgrims declared that ‘Ali is master of all those, I am master of whom’. He said that when holy Prophet (s.w.) called people towards Islam he said to them ‘I invite you to that wherein is success, happiness and felicity in this world and the hereafter”. Are Muslims happy this day, he questioned. He said sayings and traditions reported from the holy Prophet (s.w.) and infallible aaimmah from his Progeny (a.s.) confirm that had the Muslims obeyed toward which the Prophet Hazret-e-Muhammad (s.w.) invited them in Ghadir-e-Khom, no problems would ever had touched them. Ayatullah Ash-Shirazi said it is clear that in Ghadir there was completion of religion and fulfillment of blessings. And absence of Ghadir means incompletion of religion and non-fulfillment of blessings. He urged the need of disseminating the message of Ghadir to all that is the message of Allah. END |
