Tarhim Day for Gilgit martyrs marked on TNFJ call By: Salman Alvi
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: In line with the announcement made by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Moosavi, Youm-e-Tarheem was observed on Monday, January 10 throughout the country including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas to mourn the martyrs of Gilgit incident. On this occasion, Majalis-e-Tarheem and condolence gatherings were held and anti-terrorism demonstrations were staged paying tributes to the martyrs. In Rawalpindi, President TNFJ Provincial Council Punjab Syed Abu Jafar Naqvi while addressing a condolence meeting termed the terror incidents a pre-planned heinous conspiracy hatched by our perpetual enemy, and to achieve it the enemy is using its paying agents that are evil-wishers of the nation and the country.
Abu Jafar forcefully demanded from the government to form a high-level tribunal under the demand of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Hamid Moosavi to probe into the tragic incident that occurred in the sensitive area of Gilgit and punish the culprits arresting them immediately. A resolution, presented by TNFJ District Rawalpindi Secretary Propaganda Syed Wiladat Hussain Kazmi, was adopted on the occasion. The resolution severely condemned barbarism with District Health Office Dr Sher Wali Khan, Divisional Forest Officer Teghon Nabi and government employees who took refuge in their house besides causing harm to thenational property following the incident of terrorism in Gilgit, termed it anti-humanity activity. It demamnded from the government to tighten noose around miscreants who take law in their hands as they are the agents of terrorists. The resolution posed a question that at the time when armed miscreant elements were causing harm to the national property and killing innocent people, where were the administration? Therefore, the government should take action against the officials who committed slackness, and deal with the workers of banned organizations that upset peace. The resolution expressed sympathy with the bereaved families, prayed for early recovery of the wounded and demanded from the government that all severely wounded people be also transfered to Islamabad Rawalpindi immediately for better treatment.
Majalis and condolence gatherings were also held Jafaria Mosque, Mosque and Imambargah Qasr-e-Khadijatul Kubra and Darbar SAkhi Shah Pyara. Islamic Students Organization organized a condolence meeting followed by a protest rally. Organization’s president Adeel Abbas Wisami while addressing the rally demanded from the government to strictly implement Anti-Terrorism Act and tighten noose around banned outfits busy in their heinous activities by joining different political alliances. The protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with different slogans about tributes to the martyrs, demands to punish perpetrators and banning the activities of outlawed groups. They demanded that facts of the incidents of terrorism in Gilgit, Karachi, Quetta, Lahore and other places should be made public besides severely punishing the murderers. END |
