Piety Day marked with holding majalis, processions By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Martyrdom Anniversary of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Taqi (A.S.) was observed as Youm-e-Taqwa (Day of Piety) throughout the country like other global parts on Tuesday on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya, Syed Hamid Moosavi. Majalis-e-Aza were held and Taboot processions were taken out in all small and big cities and towns of the country in Federal Capital Islamabad and all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas. Matamdaran performed Noha-Khwani and presented condolences in Bargah-e-Risalat and Imamat while ulema, waizeen and zakireen termed the practical following of the uswah of Imam Taqi Al-Jawwad (A.S.) a guarantee for blessings and welfare. Allama Basharat Hussain Imami addressing a Majlis-e-Aza organised under the auspices of TNFJ District Council Islamabad’s Youm-e-Taqwa Committee said, the Muslim Ummah could get rid of problems and difficulties by following the pious seerat of Imam Taqi (A.S.). He said today the whole mankind was crying in pain, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Palestine are in pool of blood, no one is to take care of the Islamic World and the oppressed people. In these circumstances, he said, the international organisations are under the obligation to fulfil their responsibilities, give up their dual standards and give the oppressed their due. He said Imam Muhammad Taqi (A.S.) taught the way of confronting the oppressive and brutal rulers and live an honourable life. Matamdari was performed after the Majlis. The main Majlis of Youm-e-Taqwa was held at the residence of Syed Asif Kazmi under the auspices of Mukhtar Students Organisation in Rawalpindi. Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi in his address on the occasion said, the uswah of Imam Al-Jawwad (A.S.) is the beacon of light for the world of Zuhd-o-Taqwa. He said the Khandaan-e-Ismat and Taharat sacrificed even their life for the supremacy of eternal principles of Islam. He said the life span of the Imam Taqi (A.S.) spread over 25 years is replete with promotion and preaching of Islam, protection of Shariat-e-Muhammadi and welfare of the humanity during which the difficulties and detention could not divert him from the path of welfare as a punishment of which he kissed martyrdom but did not bargain on principles making it clear on the world that the righteous people never bow down before the evil forces. The participants of the gathering unanimously adopted a resolution on the occasion making it clear that the great objective of Muhammad (SAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) was promotion of justice and fair-play and expressing hatred against oppression and brutality. The resolution opined that the Islamic World and the oppressed nations are still confronted with oppression and brutality, colonial oppression is going on in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq and in these circumstances the international organisations are under the obligation to adopt a strong, stable and justifiable policy resolving their problems so as to root it out giving the oppressed people a sigh of relief. For this purpose, it is necessary for the big powers to utilise their energies on welfare of the people instead of killing them. The resolution while condemning the heinous play of pitching one Maktab against the other and the majority against the minority in Muslim States, considered that as per saying of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya, Agha Hamid Moosavi, a terrorist keeps no Maslak or a country, he is only a terrorist who should be wiped out. The resolution expressed concern that motherland Pakistan was the target of terrorism for the last three decades and Gen. Pervez Musharraf not only taken many good steps to root it out rather put restrictions on the terrorist groups but these groups are active again with new names and are involved in terrorism in the sensitive area of Gilgit, then they murdered many innocent people and caused damage to the public property which is a part of heinous conspiracy. Therefore, it said, the government is duty bound to correct the law and order situation in Gilgit while Gen. Pervez Musharraf should take a strong notice of who has sabotaged the Anti-Terrorism Act besides finding out those elements in the government departments who have sabotaged this Act giving an open hand to the miscreants. The resolution demanded from the government to set up a high level Tribunal to initiate immediate probe into Gilgit incident and pay compensation for the losses incurred during it. The resolution said that all internal and external powers should keep in mind that no power on earth could create rift amongst the recognised schools of thought, we all created Pakistan through a joint struggle and would defend it jointly breaking the hands of those who would try to create rift amongst them. Another resolution strongly condemned some private TV channels for encouraging banned groups and giving them coverage with new names. Taboot Baab-e-Muraad was taken out after the Majlis followed by Matamdari. Similar gatherings were addressed by Allama Hamdani at Qasr-e-Abu Talib, Allama Hussain Muqaddasi, Allama Hafiz Amjad Ali and other zakireen at Masjid and Imambargah Ahle Bait Gaddowal. A Majlis-e-Aza was held at Ali Hall under the auspices of Haeat Tulaba Islamia which was addressed by Syed Tabassum Abbas Kazmi, Hassan Raza Kiyani and others. Similar programs were held in Karachi, Haiderabad, Larkana, Dadu, Kher Pur, Sakkhar, Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, D.I.Khan, Bhakkar, D.G.Khan, Peshawar, Kohat, Quetta, Skardu, Gilgit, Mianwali, Muzaffarabad and many other cities.
