Haideri urges govt to notice banned groups activities under new names

By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Allama Tajuddin Haideri, Central Vice-President of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has said that ulema played a major role in promoting and preaching religion while the Aimma Masajid (prayer leaders) always played the most important role in this connection as they remain in contact with general public at least five times a day, therefore, the heavy responsibility of correcting the society and keeping it away from evils rests on them.

He stated this while talking to a delegation of ulema that called on him at the head of Hujjatul Islam Syed Hussain Kazmi, Chairman Tanzeem Shia Aimma Masajid here on Wednesday.

Allama Haideri said justice has been declared the foundation of the religion and the Shariat and on this basis stress has been put on avoiding war and adopting the path of peace and tranquillity in Islam. He said goods and evils of every society are stated keeping its social and cultural principles and standard while the definitions of human societies also keep on changing in line with the differences amongst them.

He said Islam which is the religion of peace and tranquillity and a complete code of life, presents the eternal agenda of Amar Bil Ma’aroof and Nahi Anil Munker for solution of problems and difficulties faced by the human societies.

He said at present the whole world of humanity and the society was confronted with the biggest evil in the shape of terrorism in the garb of which international colonial powers and her agents were targeting the Islamic World and the oppressed nations spreading a wave of fear and harassment. He said motherland Pakistan is the target of terrorism for quite long.

The TNFJ Central Vice-President said, the TNFJ enjoys the honour of identifying the reason of terrorism before the Supreme Court of Pakistan and presenting Moosavi Peace Formula for checking the same. First time in the history of Pakistan, the President Gen. Pervez Musharraf displayed courage of taking revolutionary steps to root out terrorism keeping this Peace Formula in view rather he also imposed restrictions on extremist groups playing the heinous game of terrorism.

He expressed his concern that some unseen elements were sabotaging the steps taken by President Musharraf and the banned groups are being included not only in political alliances but are also visible in government functions and programmes. He said some private TV channels present some elements as religious leaders but actually they are the black scar on the forehead of the religion and the Millat.

Allama Haideri said that as per saying of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya, Agha Hamid Moosavi, politics is not an untouchable tree, however, it is subservient to the religion. Those who take part in active electoral politics from sectarian platform have given nothing to the nation and the country but dead bodies and problems.

He strongly demanded from the government to impose ban on seeking vote and taking part in active politics in the name of sect so as to root out terrorism. Moreover, he said, the banned groups should be strictly stopped from carrying out their activities with new names.

He said Muharramul Haram is on our heads, therefore, the Federal Government should direct the District Governments to strike out the members of banned organisations from Peace Committees and contact the real and patriotic representatives of recognised schools of thought for this purpose.
