Baqee, Moalla great assets of Islamic nation: Grief Day majalis By: Salman Alvi ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In line with the announcement made by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Syed Hamid Moosavi, the Martyrdom Anniversary of Hazrat Imam Baqir (A.S.) was observed as Youm-e-Gham (Day of Grief) throughout the country like other global parts on Tuesday, January 18 with fervour and religious spirit.
On this occasion, the day began with recitation of holy Quran at mosques in all big and small cities and town including federal capital Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas, while Majalis-e-Aza were held under the arrangements of religious and matmi organizations followed by taking out of taboot. Sogawaran-e-Imam Baqir (A.S.) by performing Noha Khwani and Matamdari offered their condolence. Allama Mohsin Hamdani, Syed Naseer Sabzawari and Zakir Fida Hussain Jafri addressed a Majlis-e-Aza organized by Anjuman Ghulaman-e-Abu Talib (A.S.) at Qasr-e-Abu Talib (A.S.) marking the Day of Grief and threw light on the pious life of Hazrat Imam Baqir-ul-Uloom (A.S.). Addressing a Majlis-e-Aza at Imambargah Qasr-e-Shabbir Dhok Syedan, organized by Zakir Nazir Hussain Jafri, Syed Qamar Zaidi said nations not only respect their heroes rather consider their signs honourable. But in Saudi Arabia which has honour of being the centre of Islamic World and where hundreds of thousands of Farzandan-e-Tauheed from across the globe are gathered for performance of Hajj rituals, there even the signs of holy personalities have been erased. He said Saudi rulers should bear in mind that as Mashaheer-e-Islam are respectable, similarly their graves and shrines are the best source of divine nearness. A resolution adopted unanimously on this occasion urged brethren country Saudi Arabia that as it is facilitating for hajj and umrah, announced holding of elections, there it by honouring the long-standing desire of Islamic World should take practical steps for reconstruction of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla cemeteries which are great assets of Islamic nation and from among the signs of Allah, where the graves of Ahle Bait-e-Athar (A.S.), Ummahatul Momineen and Sahaba Kibar are housed. The resolution forcefully demanded from the government of Pakistan to exert full pressure on the Saudi government for rebuilding of bulldozed holy shrines of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla under 21 May 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Accord. Another resolution while expressing solidarity with the oppressed world, people of Kashmir, Palestine and Iraq, stressed upon the international organizations to immediately resolve these issues so that the people of these regions could live in peace. Allama Basharat Imami addressed Majlis-e-Youm-e-Gham at Jamia Wali-ul Asr (A.S.) Tarlai Kalan, Allama Agha Abbas Sadqeni at Danishgah-e-Rasol-e-Islam (SAW), Syed Kazim Abbas Kazmi at Jamiatul Momineen, Allama Qalb-e-Abbas Bukhari at Danishgah-e-Jafria, Allama Sadqi at Jamia Mosque Jafria I-9, Allama Hussain Muqaddesi at Mosque and Imambargah Ahle Bait Gaddowal and Allama Hussain Kazmi addressed at Mosque and Imambargah Qasr-e-Imam Moosa Kazim (A.S.). Similar programs were also held in Karachi, Larkana, Dadu, Kherpur, Sakkhar, Hyderabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, D.G.Khan, D.I.Khan, Tank, Attock, Kohat, Muzaffargarh, Sheikhupura, Quetta, Muzaffarabad, Skardu and Gilgit.
