Saudi govt urged to remove hurdles in visiting Baqee Cemetery By: Abdulali HOLY MEDINA, Saudi Arabia: Iranian Hajj Caravan’s head Sheikh Muhammad Muhammadi Reshahri has demanded from Saudi authorities to lift hurdles put for the pilgrims in visiting the holy cemetery of Al-Baqee in the holy city of Medina. The demand was made in a letter to Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. Sheikh Reshahri criticized hurdles i.e. fixed time for visiting the holy cemetery, banning women from going near to its windows, and specifying narrow path for entering the graveyard which causes severe rush that may lead to the death of any pilgrim. Al-Baqee houses the destructed holy graves of Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.W.)’s beloved daughter Sayyedah Fatimah Az-Zahraa (A.S.), four infallible imams (A.S.) from his (S.W.) progeny, his pious wives (R.A.), companions (A.S.) and other relatives. On 8 Sheval 1926, the Saudi government had bulldozed these holy shrines, and since then these destructed holy graves are hurling an open challenge to humanity. Large mourning gatherings are held and grand protest rallies are staged in various global parts Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Middle East under the arrangements of Pakistan-based Tehrik Nefaz-i-Fiqh-i-Ja’fariya (TNFJ) headed by Sayyed Hamed Mousavi every year on 8 Sheval demanding Saudi government to reconstruct the leveled holy shrines.
