A resolution adopted on the occasion declared that effective implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act was the need of the hour to root out terrorism and restore durable peace and demanded from the government to tighten noose around banned organisations and avoid harassing patriotic organisations and religious elders in the light of Presidential address to the nation on Thursday.

The resolution demanded immediate release of innocent persons arrested during the crackdown while big crocodiles of banned groups should be nabbed instead.

Condemning the London blasts, the resolution expressed concern over putting all blame on Muslims saying that Islam condemns all types of terrorism and preaches peace, tranquillity and respect and dignity of humanity.
