HOLY KARBALA, Iraq: There is no uncertainty that for every important historic event there are heroes, and the most significant event of the human history is ‘Tragedy of Taff or Karbala’ which nourished tree of Islam and Shariah and protected high human values.

Also, there rests no doubt that the further most important task was protection and safety of the targets for which achievement unparalleled supreme sacrifices were rendered in the scorching desert of Karbala.

So who was she who protected Karbala by her role? Who was she that had she was not present then the Banu Umayyad may have erased Karbala? Who was she who declared to the world objectives of her brother Hussein (p)’s sacrifices and smashed the foundations of Yazidi palaces by her addresses? Who was she who bore every kind of difficulties and sufferings only for the sake of defense of Islam? Who was she who asserted that the leaders of evil and infidelity desire to obliterate TRUTH but this increases it in elevation?

Surely she is the bright star of the sky of chastity and purity … she is the pearl of the river of Imamah and Welayah … She is AS-Siddiqa As-Soghra … She is the leader of Ashura procession … she is the deputy of Az-Zahraa (P) … she is Aa`lemah Gher Mo`allimah … She is Omm Al-Masaeb … She is the conqueror of Karbala … she is Zaynab Al-Hauraa (p).

The auspicious anniversary of birth of Sayyedah Zaynab Al-Hauraa (p) on 5th of Jamadi Al-Avval was celebrated in her brothers’ city – Holy Karbala – with due reverence and enthusiasm like other global parts.

To mark the occasion and display deep love and devotion for the grand daughter of holy Prophet (p), streets, buildings, mosques, husseiniyat and holy shrines were beautifully decorated with rich lights, fresh flowers and colorful buntings; festive gatherings were organized at different venues; eulogies were recited in praise of the holy progeny of holy Prophet (P); greetings were extended to the holy family and each other; special banquets were thrown and sweetmeats and candies were distributed.

A special magnificent festive gathering was held at At-Till Az-Zaynabi near the holy mausoleum of Al-Imam Al-Hussein bin Ali (p). History tells that this is the place wherefrom Sayyedah Zaynab (p) viewed her brother being murdered.
