RAWALPINDI, Pakistan : Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Aza-e-Hussaini, or the Day of Martyrs of Hussaini Mourning (Baba La’al Shah Sorasi) was observed with religious and national spirit throughout the country on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Recitation from Holy Quran, Majalis-e-Tarheem and Fateha Khwani was held in mosques, Imambargahs and religious Madaris for raising the status of Shuhada. Ulema, waizeen, and zakireen while highlighting the philosophy of Shahadat said, life is the name of struggle and struggling for promotion of ideology is a blessing while sacrificing life in its way and confronting difficulties and problems is Shahadat that is inherited by Momin.

Maulana Arif Al-Hussaini while addressing a gathering of Majlis Shuhada-e-Aza-e-Hussaini organised by Hay’at Tulaba Islamia at Ali Hall, said kissing martyrdom by Azadaran and Zaireen coming back from Matamdari and Majlis-e-Aza is a good omen besides being a great loss. He prayed for the higher status of Shuhada and early recovery of the injured.

A resolution adopted on the occasion lamented that powers that be reached to condole at every incident and to enquire about the injured but no one bothered to condole with the affected of Bari Imam incident and Zaireen Sorasi Sharif incident.

The resolution said that on one side government raises slogan of rooting out terrorism and such activities are carried out on the other that promote sectarianism while Pakistan is not a State of any particular sect. Similarly, it said, media adopts such irresponsible attitude on such occasions, and news are published about the incidents and accidents attaching the same with Sunni and Shia communities despite that fact that everyone that loses his life in any incident is a Pakistani and all countrymen express sympathies with them equally.

The resolution made it clear that people of Pakistan are a concrete wall against the enemies of religion and motherland and would thwart every conspiracy and mischief of the enemy with mutual unity and brotherhood using full force.

Quran Khwani and Majalis-e-Aza programmes were also held for raising the status of Shuhada-e-Aza-e-Hussaini at more than a dozen places including Jamia Wali-ul-Asr, Danishgah Jafaria and Imambargah Qasr-e-Sakina.
