LONDON, United Kingdom: In commemoration of martyrdom anniversary
of Hazret Fatima Zahra (A.S.), grand majalis-e-aza, or the mourning
gatherings, were held in different parts of the United Kingdom.
Large number of mourning devotees attended these gatherings, performed
azadari and thus presented their deep condolence to the holy Prophet
(S.W.) and his holy Ahl-ul Bayt (A.S.) marking the painful occasion.
Some traditions say Hazret Zahra (A.S.), mother of Imam Hassan (A.S.)
and Imam Hussain (A.S.), was martyred on 13 Jamadi-ul Awwal while
according to others she kissed martyrdom on Jamadi-us Sani 3. The
first period (13 Jamadi-ul Awwal) is commemorated across the globe as
‘first Fatimi days’ and the second period is called ‘second Fatimi
days’.

Islamic Center of England organized a majlis-e-aza addressed by Sayyed
Ghayas Ta’ma. In his address, Ta’ma highlighted the status of a common
Muslim woman in the sight of Islam, then the lofty rank of Bedh’ator
Rasul Hazrat Zahra (A.S.). She is an ideal for a mother, a daughter,
and a wife rather for the whole women world.
The majlis ended with recitation of eulogies by Mulla Basim Ad-Durraji
depicting the sufferings of Hazret Fatima Zahra (A.S.). Mourners
belonging to Arab and Islamic countries participated.
A three-day (Jamadi-ul Awwal 13-15) majlis program was held at
hussainia Ar-Rasul Al-Adham (S.W.) in London. Hussaini speaker Sheikh
Jalal Ma’ash addressed while hussaini dirge-chanter Abu Baqer recited
dirges. Religious scholars, intellectuals besides large number of
Iraqi Mo’mineen residing in the British capital attended.
