Washington conference focuses on Iraq

WASHINGTON, United States: Ongoing situation in Iraq remained focal point in third annual conference of Ommah Society held in Washington in the last week of May this year.
The three-day conference, attended by a large number of Muslims belonging to different countries residing in the US and Canada, was inaugurated with congregational prayer led by Ayatullah Sayyed Mortaza Shirazi.
The conference included general sessions, sessions for youth, books and art exhibitions as well as workshops. Book exhibition about late Grand Marjay Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Al-Husseini Ash-Shirazi was the most prominent.
Allamah Sayyed Mostafa Al-Qazvini, Allamah Sayyed Hasan Al-Qazvini, Ostaz Sayyed Hasnayn Walgi, engineer Jawwad Khaki, first assistant to Microsoft company chief bill gates were among the speakers.
