HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Holy city of Najaf’s provincial council has urged newly-elected parliament of Iraq to grant citizenship to Ayatullah Sayyed Ali As-Sistani, Ayatullah Muhammad Ishaq Al-Fayad and Ayatullah Hafez Bashir An-Najafi when it meets this week.

The three of the four figures of Al-Marja’iyah Ad-Diniyah or top religious authority, Ayatullah As-Sistani, Ayatullah Al-Fayad and Ayatullah An-Najafi are Iranian, Afghan and Pakistani respectively.

Talking to AFP on Monday, the council's deputy speaker Sheikh Khalid An-Numani said: “Many developed nations are proud to offer citizenship to foreign thinkers and scientists living on their soil and we think Sayyed Sistani and the others have done a lot for this country.”

"Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE ..
