Kazmi calls for narrowing noose around unrest creators
By: Salman Alvi
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Syed Ikhlaq
Hussain Kazmi, Central Joint Secretary of Tehreek
Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has demanded from the government to
tighten noose around those elements that were creating unrest,
differences and anarchy throughout the country including Gilgit,
identify the unseen elements that were creating hurdles in way of
implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act and take strict action against
them.
He stated this while talking to a delegation of religious and Matmi
organisations of Northern Areas that called on him at the head of
Maulana M.A. Hussaini here on Monday.
Syed Ikhlaq Kazmi said that international colonial powers desire to
create unrest and anarchy in all Muslim and backward States to keep
the people there busy because at present the whole world is confronted
with terrorists and terrorism, therefore, Muslims and the oppressed
are being penalised everywhere using that tactics.
He said Pakistan, being an atomic power, is a particular target of
terrorism with the aim to keep itself busy within and achieve benefits
by getting their word accepted by them. For this purpose, he said,
situation was worsened in sensitive areas of Balochistan, Sindh and
Wana, while Gilgit was targeted before Muharram.
But by the Grace of God the whole month of Muharram ended on a
positive note, he said adding that now the month of Safar has began
while Azadari programmes would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal, he
added. Therefore, he said, our combined enemy could achieve
self-interest pitching brother against brother but it has become
crystal clear that the enemy has failed in creating Maslaki conflict
everywhere despite all tactics. The enemy is confronting failure in
her designs since creation of Pakistan and would remain so in future,
Inshaallah, he added. He said like we all had presented sacrifices in
Pakistan, we are a concrete wall for its survival and solidarity in
the same manner, thwarting all enemy conspiracies to raise this
concrete wall to ground.
The TNFJ Central Joint Secretary said, the government keeps an eye on
everything, therefore, they should have taken effective steps to
maintain law and order in Northern Areas from the very beginning
because the organisations declared banned by the government were
utilising all their energies in sabotaging the Anti-Terrorism Act
introduced by President Musharraf. It is need of the hour not to allow
any banned group to work with new name. He said begging peace from the
terrorists is the dream of insane.
Kazmi made a fervent appeal to the people all over the country in
general, and to the residents of Northern Areas in particular, to
exercise seriousness like they did in the past and remain alert while
expressing active hatred against the banned groups because the anarchy
and tension is benefiting the enemy which is tantamount to enmity with
the nation and the country and we condemn this situation strongly.
He said we are still firm on our demand that the government should
form a high level Tribunal to probe the incidents of terrorism that
may compensate the losses fulfilling the norms of justice and
fair-play, arrest the murderers of all innocent people falling victim
to terrorism without any discrimination and take strict action against
them. He said the Northern Areas are already confronted with
backwardness, and the incidents of unrest and terrorism there are
extremely tragic and condemnable.
