Moosavi at CC meet demands special arrangements on Arbaeen

By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - March 20: Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has demanded from the government to make special arrangements and improve the law and order further on the occasion of Chehlum of Syed-ush-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 loyal near and dear ones.

He stated this while delivering his presidential address at a special meeting of the Central Cabinet of the Tehreek that concluded here late last night. In addition to heads of Central Departments, Central and Provincial office-bearers of Muharram Committee Azadari Cell of the TNFJ attended the meeting. Arrangements for Chehlum of Syed-ush-Shuhada were also reviewed on this occasion.

Agha Moosavi, who is also the chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan, while expressing his satisfaction over the arrangements made by the government during Muharramul Haram thanked the government for setting up Control Rooms in the Centre and the Provinces on the TNFJ demand, and said Azadari programmes would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal.

He said the sanctity of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini is not lesser than Ashoora, therefore, the government should issue special directives to the Control Rooms set up at the Centre and the Provinces to facilitate Azadaran so that people could perform their religious rites with honour and dignity. He said Islam is dear to them from any other thing and Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam that is commensurate with Zarb-e-Haideri (strike of Haider) and Sajda-e-Shabbiri (prostration of Shabbir (Imam Hussain)) that is why, he added, our sole objective is ‘Wila’ and ‘Aza’ that is the best source of survival.

He said Azadari is the greatest worship on which neither he would bargain nor would allow anyone to do, come what may. He made it clear that Pakistan is not a Maktabi or sectarian State rather it is an ideological State the constitutional religion of which is Islam.

The TNFJ chief called upon the government to take care of rights of all schools of thought on the basis of equality and implement the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement for solution of problems faced by the Maktab-e-Tashayyo.

Expressing his grave concern over the incidents of unrest, anarchy and differences in all sensitive areas of the country including Gilgit, he said the President’s statement against extremists is not enough and demanded immediate track for the hidden hand active behind the activities of the banned extremist groups working with new names. He proposed that Gen. Pervez Musharraf should issue a presidential order to all government organisations from district to provinces and federal level that the banned groups should not be allowed at any cost to work with any new name.

Agha Moosavi said both the government and the opposition should announce practical hatred against the banned groups and the people should also get rid of them. All sections of society will have to make their words and deeds coherent so as to root out terrorism.

Terming the American proposal of combined investigation against nuclear scientist Dr. Qadeer Khan with the help of Pakistan Government, an unnecessary interference in the affairs of others, he said Qadeer Khan is Mohsin-e-Pakistan, therefore, the government should not give in to any pressure and make herself stronger. For this purpose, he said, the government should check unrest, anarchy and differences from within and give rights to everyone on the basis of equality.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Hamid Moosavi while strongly condemning the US aggression on Iraq after Afghanistan and now hurling threats on Syria and Iran lamented that the representative organisation of the Islamic World i.e. OIC never carried out any practical efforts for resolving any issue confronted by the Islamic World. Therefore, he added, it could be turn of everyone, one by one, if a joint strategy was not designed for solution of issues confronted with the Islamic World.
