HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: A two-day international conference to honour great scholar and philosopher Al-Allameh Seyed Abdol Hosayn Sherfoddin concluded in the holy city of Qom, Iran, last week.
 
Various scholars, clerics, intellectuals, thinkers, professors of universities and Hawzaat Ilmiyah from Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Lebanon and Iran attended the conference in which speakers paid tributes to the scholarly and jurisprudential personality of Al-Allameh Seyed Sherfoddin and his services for the Islamic world.
 
Addressing the gathering, Ayatullah Javadi Amuli termed the conference a bridge between past and present. He urged the need of accomplishing the tasks of the great figure left incomplete after him.
 
He said enemies of Islam have focused their attacks against Toheed (monotheism), Nobovah (prophet-hood) and Imamah (leadership) urging the need to challenge these assaults with wisdom and vigilance. 
 
Al-Allameh Seyed Sherfoddin was died in 1957 and according to his will he was buried in the holy Imam Ali (a.s.) shrine compound in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq. His grave houses in one of the rooms that encircle the holy Zarih of Master of Believers Imam Ali Al-Mortaza (a.s.).
