DAMASCUS, Syria: Second annual Islamic unity conference in the Syrian capital city of Damascus focused on ways to Muslim harmony and nearness among them.

The conference, organized by Syrian ministry of endowment, Sheikh Ahmed Kuftaro Society and Iran’s International Association for Nearness among Islamic religions, was sponsored by Iranian Cultural Advisory and Al-Mohsania Organization in Damascus.

Syrian Assistant Endowment Minister Dr. Sheikh Abdussattar, Iran supreme leader Ayatullah Khmenei’s representative Ayatullah Sayyed Mojtaba Al-Husseini, Scholar of Hawzah Ilmiya Syria Sheikh Nabil Al-Halbawi, Secretary General Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) International Association Sheikh Muhammad Hasan Akhtary, Iran ambassador to Syria Muhammad Reza Baqry, professor in Sheikh Ahmed Kuftaro Society Sheikh Ahmed Rajih, Chairman International Union for Muslim Scholars Sheikh Al-Qarzawi, head of Egypt’s Organization for Culture Dr. Ziaduddin Al-Ayyoubi, Chief of council of Al-Mohsania Organization Engineer Bassam Mortaza and many others addressed the two-day event that concluded last week.
