Hizbollah vows to keep arms
By: Karim Tellawi
BINT JBEIL, Lebanon: Lebanese Hizbollah, under growing
international pressure to disarm, has declared its
stockpile of deterrent rockets would strike anywhere in
northern Israel if anyone tried to take them away.
Addressing supporters on Wednesday marking the fifth
anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon,
Hizbollah chief Sheikh Hassan Nasrollah said: “Any hand
that reaches out to our weapons is an Israeli hand that
will be cut off.”
“We do not want to attack anyone and will not allow anyone
to attack Lebanon, but if anyone, anyone, thinks of
disarming the resistance, we will fight them like the
martyrs of Karbala,” he said.
Nasrollah said that the group's arsenal of 12,000 rockets
had created a “balance of terror” with Israel.
Druze leader Walid Jumblatt also spoke at the rally
defending Hizbollah's right to keep arms.
Jumblatt recently forged an alliance with Hizbollah in
Mount Lebanon for the crucial parliamentary elections, due
to kick off this Sunday.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
