By: Abdulali

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz said that Syria has extradited more than 30 Saudis who were trying to cross Iraqi borders to join the terrorists there, Wekala`tol Akhbar Al-Iraqiah reported on Tuesday.

Riyadh authorities said they were interrogating the extradited Saudis.

According to Syria's UN ambassador Fayssal Mekdad over 1,200 people have been arrested in recent weeks for trying to cross the border into Iraq and many were returned to their home countries because of suspicions that they were trying to join the riot.

“Syria has never been friendly to such elements, who are declared enemies of Syria as well,” Mekdad said.
