Bahrainis mourn Imam Sadeq (p) with replica coffins, tears, latam

AL-MANAMA, Bahrain: Marking the martyrdom anniversary
of founder of Al-Mazhab Al-Ja’fary Al-Imam Ja’far As-Sadeq (p) on
Shawal 25, big mavakeb and majales azaiyah, or the mourning
processions and gatherings were held across Bahrain.
 
Tens of thousands of Bahrainis attended these
programs, performed latamiyaat and chest beating thus extended
condolences to the holy Prophet (p) and his Ahl-ol Beit (p) on the
heartrending occasion of martyrdom of his sixth infallible successor.
 
Hosseiniah Alhaj Ahmed bin Khamis organized a grand
procession of replica coffin of the Imam (p) in As-Sanabas. Hosseini
elegy chanters Metham Ahmed Rashed and Ja’far As-Sehwan participated
in the procession and recited dirges.
More than 80 percent of Bahrainis are Shiia.
