Everyone must resolve not to quit good and avoid evil, Moosavi on Mukhtar Day

By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya has said that everyone will have to commit with pure heart not to give up good and avoid the evil-doing so as to survive all earthly and otherwise catastrophes including the earthquake.

He stated this while delivering his special address at a gathering organised by Mukhtar Students Organisation here on Tuesday in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi (R.A.) on the occasion of Youm-e-Mukhtar Saqafi.

He said Islam is laced with qualities and good deeds and is free from evil and is the most liked religion by Allah and on this basis it has been said that one who would adopt a religion other than Islam would not be accepted. Allah has kept a balance, justice and tranquillity in everything and mankind has to be provided with peace, tranquillity and deliverance. On this basis, Zaat-e-Ilahi sent Khasan-e-Illahi to guide and preach the whole humanity, restore justice and fair-play, condemn oppression, brutality, suppression, evil and terrorism, and utilise all their energy to ponder what a human being should do? What should be avoided?

Agha Moosavi said, Allah Says: That tell them that come near me so that I may tell you all that has been made Haram (unlawful) on you by Allah. He said like every human being is under the obligation to know about the Wajbaat and his duties so as to follow the same, similarly it is also binding on him to be in the knowledge of all those things committing of which is crime, Haram, illegal, sin so that he may avoid all types of Moharrimaat, and individual, collective and social bad deeds that may cause earthly and otherwise difficulties, problems, accidents, incidents and mishaps, the most important good deed from the same is justice and fair-play and the worst of them all is evil-doing, crime, oppression, brutality, suppression and not giving justice to the oppressed and the have-nots.

On this basis, he said, Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi had took Bai’at from all tribes and elite on four things i.e. Book of Allah, Sunnat-e-Rasool, revenge for Shahanshah-e-Mazloomin Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his Ahle Bait (A.S.), protection of rights of the vulnerable and the have-nots. This was the reason, he added, that the real inheritor of the blood of holy Prophet (SAW)’s grandson Syed-ush-Shuhada Imam Hussain (A.S.), Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.), had prayed for Mukhtar that may Allah give him the Jaza-e-Khair (good reward).

The TNFJ chief said that Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi kissed martyrdom fulfilling the norms of justice and fair-play, taking revenge from the oppressed and defending martyrdom that is inheritance of the Momin (believer). That is why international colonial powers are afraid of the Mukhtar’s ‘Lalkaar’, he added.

He said the oppressed nations and the Islamic World are confronted with one problem or the other today, oppression and brutality is going on in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq, motherland Pakistan is in the grip of earthquakes sending a wave of shock and grief all around, if we have to avoid all this and make the whole world including Pakistan a hub of peace and let the humanity and mankind survive then the Quranic treatment of it lay in the Ayah-31 of Surah Nisa that goes: If you remain away from great sins from which you have been asked to keep away then We will also forgive your sins and enter you at a place of honour and dignity.

He said the Farman-e-Ilahi (divine saying) makes it clear that we should commit from a true heart that we will fulfil all ‘Wajbaat’ and would keep away from all small and big sins.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya said it has been said about the Holy Prophet (SAW) that four angels give a call in the morning and in the evening. One of them says had the creature not created! The second says had they known why they had been created? The third says had they followed the commandment that had been given to them; while the fourth says if this creature could not follow the commandments then had it sought forgiveness for its misdeeds (evil-doing, oppression, brutality and terrorism).

He said there is a saying of Maula-e-Kainaat Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) that considering sin less is the greatest sin. On the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi, he reiterated his resolve not to give up even the small good deeds (Naikian) and would not commit even the smallest sins because in it lay the key of survival from our difficulties and problems.
