TNFJ relief activities continue for quake-affected

RAWALPINDI, October 17: An important meeting to review the relief activities of Relief Committee for Earthquake Victims of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan was held here on Monday.

Additional Secretary General Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari presided over the meeting. Convener of the Committee Syed Hassan Raza Bokhari told the meeting that relief teams headed by Dr. Iqbal Javed Haideri, Allama Abul Hassan Taqi, Allama Liaquat Shirazi, Syed Amjad Hussain Shah and Aslam Malik have set out for Mansehra, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, and other areas including Seerian Syedan along with truck-loads of relief goods while more relief goods would also be sent soon.

Hassan Bokhari said the Committee is also taking action to provide complete help to those affected who are migrating to Rawalpindi and Islamabad from Bagh, Muzaffarabad and other affected areas.

However, he called upon the affected to get them also registered with the Relief Commission set up by the Government of Pakistan. He said that in line with the directive of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, the TNFJ Relief Committee has appealed the people to deposit relief amount in the President’s Relief Fund set up by President Pervez Musharraf to help the earthquake victims, deposit relief goods at nearing mosques, Imambargahs, and religious institutions or bring it directly to the office of TNFJ Relief Committee.

Paying tributes to the spirit of sacrifice of the countrymen for the aggrieved affected of the earthquake, he said the unity, brotherhood and pain displayed by the nation should be kept intact for all occasions so as to thwart every mischief of the enemies of humanity and to overcome all type of difficulties.

The TNFJ Additional Secretary General Syed Shujaat Bokhari while lauding the performance of the Relief Committee in his presidential address said despite heavy odds like weather conditions the government organisations, particularly jawans of the armed forces, foreign relief teams, religious, political, and social organisations gave practical display of humanity.
