MANAMA, Bahrain: Birth anniversaries of Abtaal-i-Kerbala or the heroes of Kerbala that fall on Sha’ban 3, 4 and 5 were reverently observed in Bahrain.
 
Different organizations and associations arranged celebratory programs at mosques, husseiniyaat and ma’atm including Al-Mo’men mosque, Fatemah Az-Zahraa (a.s.) mosque, husseiniyah Al-Qassab, husseiniyah Alhaj Ahmed bin Khamis, ma’atm Al-Imam Al-Baqer (a.s.) and ma’atam As-Sanabas attended by tens of thousands of devotees.
 
Addressing these programs, speakers threw light on the pious lives of Abtaal-i-Kerbala namely Al-Imam Abi Abdellah Al-Hussein (a.s.), Abo Al-Fadhl Al-Abbas (a.s.) and Al-Imam Ali bin Al-Hussein As-Sajjad (a.s.), their mauled Ash-Sharif, their sacrifices for elevation of Islamic principles, and their deep devotion for spreading divine message.

Eulogists scented the gatherings by offering poetic tributes to Sebt-or Rasul Al-Imam Al-Hussein (a.s.), his brother and son (a.s.).
 
Special dishes and desserts were prepared, gifts and greetings were extended to each other, and feasts were thrown marking the august occasion.
