Moussa Sadr remembered in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Lebanon: At a ceremony commemorating the disappearance, 27
years ago, of Ayatullah Moussa As-Sadr, religious speakers stressed
the importance of Christian-Muslim dialogue.
Al-Imam al-Muntazar Association held a festival attended by Bekaa
Governor Antoine Suleiman representing the president, MP Camille
Maalouf representing Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun,
and Sadr's son Badreddine.
Also present were Pontifical Nuncio in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Yemen
and the Arab Peninsula Bishop Boulos Munajjed Hashem representing the
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Butros Sfeir and Sheikh Adib Haidar,
representing Higher Shia Council Vice-President Sheikh Abdel-Amir
Qabalan.
Hashem, who delivered Sfeir's speech, spoke of his friendship with
Sadr whom he described as a "man of dialogue."
In southern city of Sor, committee of rights of Lebanese organized a
conference to prepare legal file and program regarding the crime of
abduction of president and founder of Higher Shia Council Ayatullah
Moussa As-Sadr, and two of his aides.

BEIRUT, Lebanon: Vice-president Higher Shiia Council Sheikh Abdel-Amir Qabalan said 27 years have passed since the disappearance of Ayatullah Musa As-Sadr and his two companions in Libya, and this is still a hideous crime that nobody is doing anything about.
