15 Sha’ban celebrations in US urge unity, flay terrorism

MICHIGAN, United States: The anniversary of birth of Qaem-e-Aal-e-Muhammad, Al-Imam Al-Mehdi Al-Montazar (AS) on Sha’ban 15 was observed in United States like other countries with holding big festivals and celebratory functions.

In Dearborn, Michigan, Islamic Council organized a massive festive gathering to mark the auspicious occasion on Tuesday. Large number of clerics and scholars attended. The program began with recitation of holy Quran followed by a speech by Great Tunisian Scholar Muhammad Tijani As-Samawi. He spoke on Ahl-ul Bait (AS) and meaning of commemoration of their days.

Sheikh Muhammad Dabok, Representative of Islamic Shiia Council Sayed Ibrahim Salih, Dr Yacoub, Sheikh Salih Al-Ataat and Imam of Islamic Center Michigan Sayed Hassan Al-Qazvini also addressed and said we are not afraid of any attacks launched against followers of Ahl-ul Bait (AS) because it is our seerah since our A’immah kissed martyrdom just for the sake of Islam that is religion of love and peace and condemns every kind of oppression, biases and terrorism. They signified reappearance of Al-Imam Al-Mehdi (AS) in light of sayings of holy Prophet (SW). Sheikh Hasan Al-Haeyri offered Qasaed and Tawashih. Later dinner was served.

In Washington, a celebration of ladies was held under arrangements of AZ-Zahraa (AS) Foundation. Recitation of holy Quran and Dua Al-Ahd was start of the party. Speakers threw light on philosophy of occultation of Al-Imam Saheb-ul Asr Waz-Zaman and responsibilities of Muslims during his occultation period. Later poetic tributes were paid to Ahl-ul Bait (AS). At the end of the gathering, a contest on Seerah of Al-Imam Al-Mehdi (AS) was held. Prizes were awarded to the winners.

Islamic Cultural Center in Orange County in California arranged ninth annual assembly titled “Al-Imam Al-Mehdi (AS), an embodiment of heavenly justice” at hotel Marbot. Hundreds of devotees attended. Al-Ostaz Samir Ameiri opened the program with recitation of Quranic verses. Nina Khanja, Dr Hasnayn Walji and founder of Islamic Cultural Center and Imam of the Islamic community Al-Allamah Sayed Mostafa Al-Qazvini addressed on the pious life of Al-Imam Al-Mehdi (AS) and challenges being faced by American Muslims in the US. They urged need of unity among Muslims to thwart rift-creating conspiracies. Father Rafael Lifano’s speech contained report of annual Islamic-Catholic dialogue in West United States. Later, dinner was served.
