The participants of the gathering unanimously passed many resolutions
regarding national and international issues.
A resolution appreciated resolve of president Pervez Musharraf in
national security council meeting to keep continue ban on radical
groups and stopping them from working under new names. It said
President’s all steps are right to the extent of lip-service, and the
whole nation support these but it is surprising that people of banned
outfits are not only roaming freely but also given coverage in
government and opposition figures as well as electronic, print and
internet media. The resolution posed a question that in such
circumstances what does crackdown mean? It stressed that in crackdown
against banned groups, only poor and hawkers are being annoyed. Black
sheep in the government departments are busy in saving banned elements
and entrapping innocent people.
By another resolution, the participants while severely condemning Al-Aimma
Bridge Tragedy expressed hearty sympathy with the bereaved families of
martyrs and said that whole world denounced this tragedy but complete
silence of Arab League and OIC represents bias which is strongly
condemnable. On the other, everyone expressed pain on Katrina
hurricane rather dozens of countries have declared monetary help and
US itself has given $ 687 million aid while oppression is continued in
Iraq and people are going to die in draught-stricken countries but who
cares.
The resolution expressed solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris and
Iraqis and made clear that war against terrorism could not be achieved
unless issues of Kashmir and Palestine are resolved.
