RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced to observe the universal Youm-ul-Huzn (Day of Grief) on 26th Rabiul Awwal in connection with the death anniversary of Khatmi Martabat’s (SAW) elder, Hazrat Ali’s (A.S.) father, Negehban-e-Risalat (Protector of Apostleship) Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.).

In a statement issued here he said that Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) is that great personality who defended the Holy Prophet (SAW). Allah has declared Abu Talib’s (A.S.) protection for Rasool (SAW) as His own protection, Did he not give you (Abu Talib’s) protection finding you an orphan. Terming this protection a blessing Allah said And state the blessing (Ehsan) of Allah. He said only Abu Talilb (A.S.) enjoys the honour from amongst men that his year of death was declared the Aam-ul-Huzn (Year of Grief).

Agha Moosavi said Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) not only took care of the Holy Prophet (SAW) by all means rather undertook his upbringing and the way he helped him in disseminating Islam is a beacon of light for the whole world of humanity. Allama Shibli has written many things with reference to Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim and at the same time he also writes that at the time of his death Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) in reply to Abu Jehl had said that I am dying on the religion of Abdul Muttalib (A.S.).

He said from Prophet Adam (A.S.) to Khatim (SAW) there are 51 references of Paighambar-e-Akram (SAW); 17 Nabi, 17 Wasi, and 17 Movahid. Allah says in Quran that And your remaining amongst prayer-doers. According to Tafseer Ba’az Salaf prayer-doers (Sajideen) means his forefathers. In other words his Noor being transferred from the Sulb (Loin) of one prophet to the Sulb of other prophet rather some Mufassirin considered that this word has been used for Rasool’s (SAW) parents.

He said the most biased historians have accepted that when the delegation of Kuffar-e-Quraish threatened Khatmi Martabat (SAW) and Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) apprised him of the situation, the Khatmi Martabat (SAW) said, Oh, uncle! Tell these atheists that if they put Sun on my one hand and moon on the other and desire from me not to disseminate Islam, even then by God I would not give up that mission on which I have been posted. His uncle Abu Talib (A.S.) when saw his fast commitment, said go and continue your mission with enthusiasm, no one would dare cause any harm to you in my presence (Seerat Ibne Hisham, vol. 1, page 89).

Therefore, Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) proved himself as Nigehban-e-Risalat through his deeds. That is why no Taghoot howsoever big could cause any harm to the Holy Prophet (SAW). But after the death of Abu Talib (A.S.), the Holy Prophet (SAW) was teased to the extent that he had to migrate to Madinah from Makkah. As the poet says:


The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi said Abu Talib (A.S.) did not let any body dishonour and desecrate the personality of the Rasool (SAW), Nabuwwat and Risalat.

He expressed concern that at present the international media was not only committing desecration of the Islamic World, holy places, holy Books rather the personality of Nabi Akram (SAW) and the only solution to check them is to follow Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) and make his pious seerat a beacon of light while there should be no hesitation in offering any sacrifice in defending Hurmat-e-Rasool-e-Atahar (SAW).

He said that on the occasion of Youm-ul-Huzn, oppression, brutality and terrorism going on the world over will be condemned and commitment will be announced that desecration of Prophets, Messengers, Sha’air-e-Deen, holy Books would be considered the desecration of the whole humanity that is a great sin. Therefore, everything could be bored but the desecration would not, in any case.

Meanwhile, TNFJ’s Central Youm-ul-Huzn Committee has been formed to organise universal Youm-ul-Huzn programmes. M.H. Jafri has been nominated Convener and Malik-e-Ashtar as its Secretary.
