Arbainiyato Samarra tragedy marked in Saudi eastern region

AL-QATIF, Saudi Arabia: Saudi women observed Arbaeen
of destruction of holy shrine of Al-Imamain Al-Askariyain in holy city
of Samarra (forty days after the demolition) in eastern parts of Saudi
Arabia (Al-Qatif, Sehat, Dammam and Safwa).
On this occasion, a majlis al-azaiyah was held at husseiniyah As-Senan
on 30 Safar. Ommi Abbas addressed the majlis which was attended by
intellectuals, thinkers and scholars.

UN agency: Tens of thousands of Iraqis displaced

BAGHDAD, Iraq: A United Nations-affiliated agency said violence has displaced more than 25,000 Iraqis since the Feb. 22 bombing of the holy Askariain shrine, and shelters and tent cities are springing up across central and southern Iraq to house homeless families.
