RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A meeting of the Central Wahdat-o-Akhuwwat Committee of the TNFJ was held to give final touches to the arrangements to observe Hafta-e-Wahdat-o-Akhuwwat Hurmat-e-Rasool Azam (SAW) and Aal-e-Atahaar (A.S.) [Week of Unity & Fraternity, Sanctity of Grand Messenger and his holy Progeny] throughout the country on the occasion of Jashan-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and Wiladat Ba Sa’adat of Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Central Convener Meesam Tammar presided over the meeting in which conveners for Federal Capital Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, Northern Areas, all the four provinces of the country and foreign countries were appointed.

Tammar in his address on the occasion said that at present the whole world of humanity is confronted with oppression and brutality and the satanic forces are busy trampling the honour and dignity of Khatmi Martabat (SAW), Mashaheer-e-Islam, Ahle Bait-e-Atahaar (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubar (R.A.).

He said Kashmir, Palestine and Afghanistan were already on their target and now oppression, brutality and terrorism are on its peak in Iraq and the recent incidents in Najaf-e-Ashraf, at Barasa Mosque and in Musayyab near the shrine of Aulaad-e-Muslim bin Aqeel (A.S.) after the Samarra Tragedy have shattered the whole humanity.

He said the enemies of humanity were trying their utmost to give these incidents a colour of Sunni-Shia conflict while international colonial powers were pitching one Maslak against the other and one country against the other besides following the policy of divide and rule.

He made it clear that the Holy Prophet (SAW) through practical display of Wahdat-o-Akhuwwat made one Sahabi (companion) the brother of another Sahabi and had declared Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) his brother here and the Hereafter. All Muslims are like one body that shares happiness and grief, therefore, he added, practical promotion of Akhuwwat and brotherhood was the need of the hour to thwart the heinous conspiracy of the enemies of religion and motherland as it is the only way to protect the sanctity of Rasool-e-Azam (SAW) and Aal-e-Atahaar (A.S.).

A resolution unanimously adopted at the meeting strongly condemned the Barasa Mosque tragedy in Iraq and expressed heartfelt grief that some so-called Islamic media were terming the martyrs of Barasa Mosque Tragedy as they were killed following in the footsteps of western media which is condemnable.

The resolution called upon the electronic and print media to give up their biased policy, stressed the need to summon an emergent meeting of the OIC to devise a courageous and concrete strategy, otherwise all Muslim States would have to wait for their turn, one by one.
