MUMBAI, India: Indian Muslims held an anti-U.S.-Israeli
protest in Bombay Saturday, Aug. 12, against the killing of
civilians in Lebanon and Palestinian territories by Israel.
Holding banner inscribed with statements condemning Israeli
atrocities, the protestors were holding portraits of late
founder of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatullah Ruhullah Al-Khomeini.

Israeli flag was also torched during the protest.
In Lucknow, a big protest rally was staged protesting the Israeli
offensive in Lebanon and demanding that the Indian government raise
its voice against the attacks.
Led by newly-formed political outfit People's Democratic Front's
Chairman and noted Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad, the protestors,
who gathered after offering Friday namaz, burnt American flags and
raised anti-US slogans.


Holding placards, banners and photographs of injured childern in
Lebanon, they demanded that the UPA government at the Centre raise
voice against Israel's offensive.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad said the Centre should
exert pressure on the UN for ensuring an immediate ceasefire in
Lebanon.
