Bahrainis, Iranians celebrate Hezbollah’s victory

By: S.M.Khurasani, Ali Al-Qadumi

TEHRAN, Iran: People of Iran like Bahrainis celebrated throughout the country the 'victory' of Hezbollah in Lebanon following the enforcement of a truce between the Zionist regime and the proud Lebanese nation, led by Hezbollah, chanting "Allaho Akbar" slogan and lighting up the sky with fireworks.

In some Tehran streets in addition to the sound of the fire crackers and other fireworks, the drivers kept on honking their horns, harmonizing with the cheerful merry makers.

People distributed sweets and pastries among cheerful citizens and congratulated one another on the occasion, recalling the bravery of Hezbollah, and particularly its brave leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

In Bahrain, youth stood in the streets of Sitra and Sanad villages, both south of the capital Manama, handing out sweets as hundreds gathered in Sitra to march in a car cavalcade.

Hundreds drove around the Sitra village roads waving Hezbollah’s flags and pictures of the group’s leaders. Witnesses said that the numbers grew to more than a thousand people later into the night.

Men, women, and children all raised their hands to give the “V” sign, asserting that the victory in this war went to Arabs, despite Israeli and US claims.

Another car march took place in the northern part of Bahrain.

In the early hours of September 13, 1997, the Israeli army killed one 45-year-old woman, two Hezbollah fighters, and six Lebanese soldiers in the mountains of southern Lebanon. Later that day, Hezbollah officials viewed video footage of the bodies and confirmed that one of the slain was a precious kill indeed: 18-year-old Hadi Nasrallah, son of Hezbollah's leader, Secretary-General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah.

Israel pullout from Lebanon begins, Hezbollah declares victory

BEIRUT, Lebanon: Israel began slowly withdrawing its forces from southern Lebanon on Tuesday as Hizbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said on Monday his fighters had achieved a strategic and historic victory over Israel and that it was the wrong time to publicly discuss disarming the group.
