Iraq reconciliation meeting to halt growing violence

BAGHDAD, Iraq: A national reconciliation conference
designed to halt mounting violence in Iraq was held in Baghdad
on Saturday, 16 December.
Hundreds of delegates from the country's divided political
factions gathered at the conference centre inside Baghdad's
Green Zone in a bid to draw up a peace process.
