India Shia Board says community marginalized
By: Nizam Hussain
LUCKNOW, India: The All India Shia Personal Law Board has
demanded proper representation for the community in government
jobs and central Hajj committees saying that Shias were
marginalized and their representation in state assemblies and
Parliament was negligible.

Addressing a news conference here, board secretary Maulana
Zaheer Abbas also demanded that separate Waqf boards for Shias
should be set up.
Abbas demanded that Shia pilgrims bound for 'Ziyarat' in Iraq
and Iran should be provided a subsidy as was the practice
before 1976.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
