DAMASCUS, Syria: Martyrdom of Al-Imam Al-Hossein (AS)’s six-month-old son Abdullah Ali Al-Asghar (AS) - the youngest martyr of Karbala - was commemorated across the globe with bringing out of “cradle” in majales al-aza and processions, while international committee to revive the anniversary of oppressed-ness of the infant Asghar (AS) observed the occasion in 14 countries and 72 Iranian cities in a unique manner.

Tens of thousands of babies, dressed in white and green color clothes, in the laps of their mothers gathered in mosques and hosseiniyaat.

The mothers were shedding tears to sympathize with Sayyedah Robab (AS), mother of Ali Al-Asghar (AS).

Speakers opened their speeches with recitation of selected verses of Surah Maryam, highlighted the philosophy of Karbala depicted the martyrdom of Ali Al-Asghar (AS).

These ceremonies under arrangements of the committee were held USA, Azerbaijan, at Mosalla shrine of Sayyedah Zaynab (AS) in Syria, Lebanon, Saudi parts of Al-Ahsaa, Sehat and Al-Qatif, Kuwait, at Ma’atm Ash-Shahabi in Al-Moharraq city of Bahrain, Britain, Russia, Pakistan and India.

In Iraq, these ceremonies were organized at Hosseini shrine compound in Karbala, at Al-Javaheri mosque near the holy shrine of Al-Imam Ali (AS) in the holy Najaf, Kofa mosque, at Horr bin Yazid Ar-Riyai shrine compound, at Al-Hindiah mosque, Taweraj, in Hillah, at Kazemi shrine in Kazemiyah, Boratha mosque Baghdad, Samara and many other Iraqi cities.

In Iran, hosseiniyah Al-Mediyah Tehran, holy shrine of Sayyedah Masumah (AS) in the holy city of Qom and holy shrine of Al-Imam Ar-Reza (AS) in the holy city of Mash’had witnessed similar programs.

Hormala (L) made Ali Al-Asghar (AS) a target of a very heavy three-face arrow, which pierced the innocent infant's neck. Ali Al-Asghar (AS) smiled and kissed martyrdom while still in the hands of his father Imam Hossein (AS).
