RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - February 12: The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said the spirit of freedom-fighting of Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) is the beacon of light for the oppressed world.

This was stated by him while announcing “Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala” from 18 to 25 Muharram. He said when darkness began to spread all around and despite all struggle and practical efforts of the Paighambar-e-Islam spread over 63 years, the evil voice of Yazid was raised and he tried to promote his Satanic activities by causing harm to religion and Shariat, at that time Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) stayed from amongst the whole world of humanity. At the beginning of his journey, the Imam (A.S.) said that when a person is ready to sacrifice himself for a great objective in front of us and give up his life and individual relationship, only that person could join them.

Agha Moosavi said the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) presented the greatest example of freedom fighting and bravery by presenting the sacrifice of his life along with 72 sincere companions and near and dear ones which is a beacon of light for the whole oppressed world even today and is a slap in the face of those who desecrate religion, Shariat, Sha’a’ir-Ullah and Khatmi Martabat (SAW).

He said the obligation that was carried out by Syed-us-Sajideen Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) in protecting the greatest and highest objectives and goals after Karbala tragedy has no match throughout the human history. His patience and forbearance in face of oppression and brutality provides source of courage to the oppressed world, Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq.

He said despite being chained he delivered an exemplary address in the style of his grandfather Ali (A.S.) in the court of Ibne Ziad in Yazidi government’s capital Kufa in reply to blasphemous attitude and shattered the whole court by saying that whosoever knows me, knows me and one who does not know me, I would like to introduce myself to him that I am Farzand-e-Makkah and Mina, I am Farzand-e-Safa and Marwah, I am the son of whom who is not covered, I am the son of whom who led prayers twice to angels while going for ascension and returning, I am the son of Mustafa (SAW), Ali Al-Murtaza (A.S.), and Fatima Zahra (S.A.), and I am the son of Hussain (A.S.) who was not given water till he die, I am the son of the person whose Ahle Bait (A.S.) were put in detention, whose articles were looted, from whose head chaddars were snatched but I do not feel myself vulnerable and weak rather I am proud of that my father (A.S.) accepted to be beheaded while in prostration but did not bow down to a liar and debaucher.

In the end, the Masoom (A.S.) in his address said that what type of defame you are involved in and what would you say in Bargah-e-Adil on the D-day when the Paighambar (SAW) would ask you why you killed my offspring? Why you trampled my honour and dignity? Tell me with which mouth you would face the Holy Prophet (SAW)? This courage, he said, could only Syed-us-Sajjad do.

The TNFJ chief said that today the world in staging protest against blasphemous cartoons published in Denmark, Germany, France, Jordan and other States, Hussainiyyat is the universal forum and Azadari is the most effective protest to express hatred against those who commit desecration of religion, Shariat and humanity.

He said if the protestors respect the Shan-e-Risalat and desire to become successful in Bargah-e-Paighambar then they should come to Farsh-e-Aza till 8th Rabiul Awwal and join the Azadari protest because those who destructed the Rasool’s (SAW) home and forced his daughters and daughters-in-law to roam in the streets of Shaam and Kufa without covering their head, no one could be more blasphemous than them.

He made it clear that protest of the oppressed against those who committed blasphemy is continuing to-date from the 61 Hijra in whatever shape it is and this protest i.e. Azadari would continue till the supremacy of the flag of justice and fair-play and rooting out oppression and brutality.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi said that to observe the tragic Shahadat of inheritor of blood of Hussain Syed-us-Sajideen Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.), Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala will be observed from 15 to 25 Muharram with devotion, respect and traditional and religious spirit.

In the Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions during this period should be organized and commitment announced for practical struggle to promote those pious Hussaini targets for which Imam Sajjad (A.S.) bore detention and kissed martyrdom.

Meanwhile, TNFJ Central Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala Committee has been formed to organize programmes for Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala. Dr. S.M. Rizvi has been nominated as Convener and Malik Adeel Sarwar Haideri as Secretary of this Committee.
