Farsh-i-aza spread across India to honor Karbala martyrs

HYDERABAD, India: Farsh-i-aza (mourning carpet) has
been spread across India to pay rich homage to supreme sacrifices
rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s.) and is 72 devoting-companions
for supremacy of Islam and Shariah and defense of high human values
some 1,400 years ago in the burning desert of Karbala.
 
 
 
Majalis-i-aza began as soon as the crescent of
Muharram 1427 (2006) was sighted on Monday. Hundreds of thousands of
Indian Mo’mineen flocked to imambadas to participate in azadari
(mourning rites).
Speakers threw light on objective of Hussaini qayam and philosophy of
his great sacrifice.
Later matam was performed, nohay were recited and neyaz was served.
Mourning processions were also taken out.
