US, UK ready to rebuild bombed holy shrine

LONDON, Britain: The United States and Britain have
showed their readiness to contribute to the reconstruction of the holy
shrine of Imamain Al-Askariyain (p), 10th and 11th infallible
descendants of holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (p).
"The British government stands ready to contribute to the
reconstruction of the shrine site. We will be guided on how best we do
this by our friends in the Muslim communities in Iraq and Britain,"
British premier Blair said.
The US ambassador and the commander of US forces in Iraq said in a
joint statement, "The Shrine should be rebuilt and the United States
will contribute to its reconstruction."
A pair of bombs Wednesday morning caused extensive damage to the
Askariya shrine in Samarra.
