AL-QATIF, Saudi Arabia: Grand magnificent celebratory
gatherings were held in eastern region of Saudi Arabia marking Eid Al-Ghadir
Al-Aghar which falls on 18 Dhol-hijjah.
18 Dhol-hijjah is that auspicious day when holy Prophet Muhammad
(Peace be upon him and his pure progeny) appointed his cousin and
son-in-law Imam Ali (Peace be upon him), as his successor on the order
of Allah saying “Of whomsoever I am the Master, this Ali is his
Master.”

Al-Mas’alah mosque in Al-Qatif organized on Tuesday night a festival
in connection with the great occasion, while ‘Ghadir Al-Welaa’
festival was arranged at hosseiniyah Nouriah on Thursday night by
hozah Omm Al-Benin.


Large number of devotees attended a festive program held on Tuesday
nigt at Al-Abbas mosque in Ar-Rabiah. Young poet Imad Ad-Dehan and Al-Ostaz
Said Al-Ma’atiq offered qasaid in praise of Amir`ol Mo’minin Ali Al-Mortadha
(peace be upon him) and Eid Al-Welaa followed by Al-Ostaz Abdulamir
Al-Habib who delivered speech on the topic of Al-Ghadir and importance
of this feast.
Committee to Celebrate Religious occasions in Al-Ahsaa hold three-day
(Wednesday night – Friday night) festival at hosseiniyah As-Sibtayn
(peace be upon them) in At-Taraf.

Abnaa`oz Zahra Al-Islamiah Foundation organized at hosseiniyah Al-Ajiyan
in Al-Hillah attended by a number of eulogists including Sayyed Thamir
Ash-Shakhs, Sayyid Yousuf Ash-sholah and Mohsen Al-Madeh.
In Al-Khaweldiah, Committee to Celebrate Religious occasions
celebrated the august occasion by holding grand annual festival titled
‘ Yom`ol Boshra (day of glad tiding)’ at Sahah Al-Ghadir on Wednesday
night. Poets and eulogists recited eulogies in praise of Al-Imam Ali
bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) highlighting the feast.
Al-Imam Al-Montadhar Committee in Al-Mabraz organized on Tuesday night
a festival attended by large number of elite, dignitaries and
intellectuals. Little Qari Talib Al-Haji opened the festival with
Quran recitation followed by Sheikh Sami Al-Brahim’s address which
brought to light the significance of this Eid, also known as Eid Al-Welayah.
Sweetmeat and gifts were distributed to the participants.
