HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Marking Eid-ul Velayah Eid-ul Ghadeer, the day when Ameer-ul Momineen Hazret-e-Ali (a.s.) was declared first infallible successor of the holy Prophet (s.w.) on the commandments of Allah, special festivals were held in the holy city of Qom and Ispahan like other cities.

A celebratory program was organized at hossainiah Al-Karbalaiah Al-Markaziah in Ispahan. Muhammad Hasan Ghafori opened the program with recitation of Quranic verses that were revealed regarding Day of Al-Ghadeer. Hossaini eulogist Mulla Fazel Al-Karbalai recited Zeyarah Ameen-ullah.

Hasan Ne’matullahi, Jalal Kosary, Mulla Fazel Sadqiyan, Mullah Jassem As-Saigh Al-Karbalai, Hossain Rofikran, Alhaj Mulla Ali Basha Al-Karbalai and any other eulogists offered eulogies in love and devotion for Ali (a.s.).

Hojjatol Islam val Muslimeen Seyyed Abbas Al-Hossaini addressed on the importance of Eid-ul Ghadeer, its greatness and elevated status besides merits of Imam Ali (a.s.). later, Doaa Al-Faraj was recited followed by dinner.

In the holy city of Qom – which houses the holy shrine of Hazret-e-Fatimeh Al-Masumeh (a.s.) -, Iraqis residing in Qom arranged a three-night (zolhija 19-21) festival at hossainiah Dar-ul Hossain.

Another festive program was held at hossainiah Seyyed-ush Shohada on the eve of Eid.

Flocks of devotees attended these festivals while eulogists including Jalil Al-Karbalai paid poetic tributes to Ameer-ul Momineen (a.s.).

Similar gathering was held at hossainiah Bayt-uz Zahraa.

Ayaat and Maraje also organized celebrations to mark the happy occasion.

Ayatullah Sadiq Ash-Shirazi, in his bahs al- kharij lecture, highlighted history and significance of Eid-ul Ghadeer.

A celebratory program was held at the office of Ayatullah Sheikh Meerza Jawad At-Tabrezi.
