RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha
Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said Azadari is our fundamental right
regarding it neither our forefathers bargained, nor would we and our
generations. We will never let anyone to create hurdle in it. Azadaran
should perform azadari with complete peace and courage.
Addressing a packed press conference held at TNFJ headquarters here on
Monday, he announced 14-point Code of Azadari on the occasion of
oncoming Muharramul Haram so that it could be followed in letter and
spirit to promote religion and motherland in winning the pleasure of
Allah, Rasool (SAW), Aaimma Huda (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.).
TNFJ central secretary information Syed Qamar Zaidi, Convener Central
Muharram Committee Azadari Cell Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, different
ulema-e-karam and senior office-bearers were also present at the press
conference.

In response to a question, Hamid Moosavi said there is
no ban on Azadari including loud speaker, however its sound use should
be made sure.
Answering another question, he said Central Muharram Azadari Committee
of TNFJ has been formed to facilitate Azadran; its control room will
work round the clock from today. Also, committees have been set up in
provinces and districts.
He, while responding to a newsman, condemned American attack on Bajor
Agency and termed it an assault on Pakistan’s sovereignty. The
government should take strict measures in this regard so that no one
could dare to do so in future.
In response to a question regarding government steps against
terrorism, the TNFJ chief said the TNFJ presented Peace Formula to the
government in a meeting summoned by former interior minister Moinuddin
Haider. Later, Moosavi Peace Formula was presented in Supreme Court of
Pakistan, and taking it in view Preesident Pervez Musharraf not only
declared Anti-Terrorism Act with courage rather took a good step of
banning extremist terrorist groups. But regretfully, the same banned
outfits are once again busy with new disguises. They are on government
and opposition forums, and media also gives them full coverage.
He said Muharram-ul-Haram teaches us lesson that whenever sacrifice is
demanded, people are under obligation to establish spirit of martyr in
their hearts. Weeping and mourning for Imam Hussain (A.S.) means
participation in his bravery and boldness, harmony with HUssaini
thought and sight, and conformity with desire of martyrdom. Its only
objective is that oppression could never raise head once again so that
whole society could be stopped from walking in footsteps of these
oppressors. He said it is Azadari courtesy to which no human being
likes to take name of Yazid or doing Yazidi deeds.

In short, Hussain (A.S.) keeps place in every heart, everyone is
AZadar, mourner of Hussain (A.S.) and every eye sheds tears for
Hussain (A.S.); it is not bound to country, faith or religion.
Agha Moosavi said sacrifice of life is greatest to achieve objective.
Word ‘Qurbani’ (sacrifice) is derived from ‘Qurb’; whenever doing of
any good deed is decided we say ‘Qurbatan Ilallah’. Every job has
particular effects, fruits and blessings and has its own philosophy
that becomes the source of becoming near to Allah but the sacrifice of
life the greatest of them all.
The beginning and the end of Islam is based on sacrifice. The first
sacrifice is that of Hazrat Habeel, then comes the sacrifice of Hazrat
Ibrahim (A.S.) who receives the commandment to slaughter his son that
is mentioned in Surah Al-Sifaat of Quran that indicates that there is
no deed more pious than sacrifice which is the mirage of all
sacrificial deeds. Today, the world asks what is the philosophy of
Muharram and Azadari? It actually is to keep the spirit of sacrifice
alive. People say that the blood shed in Gham-e-Hussain could be given
to needy patients and the expenditure incurred on Azadari could be
given to the poor to better their lot. They should know that like Hajj
is worship and has a philosophy; similary, Azadari is also a great
worship. Sacrificing worships to such spirits and thinking is slavery
to our own ideology and nothing else. The subservience to Allah
demands that His every commandment is fulfilled come what may whether
the wisdom supports it or not, because your wisdom could not cover it.

He said everyone, whether he belongs to any country, Maslak, nation or
Maktab, participates in Gham-e-Hussain. That is why Hussain (A.S.) is
not only Shaheed-e-Islam but also Shaheed-e-Insaniyyat. The honour and
dignity of Muharramul Haram is crystal clear from its name but
unfortunately international colonial powers, Satanic and Zionist
powers, and so-called champions of human rights who are actually
biggest enemy of humanity, get busy in conspiracies before sighting
the moon of Muharramul Haram.
Their dual standard has been unearthed in Kashmir, Palestine,
Afghanistan, and Iraq and it is the result of spirit of sacrifice and
it is the mirage of worship that is commensurate with Hussainiyyat and
Muharramul Haram is commensurate with the great personality of Hussain
ibne Ali (A.S.).
These powers are afraid of it, therefore, international chief of the
terrorists and her agents use the weapon of biases to maintain their
supremacy, reap self-interest and to cool down the spirit of sacrifice
so as to defame the Islamic World by blaming Muslims of being violent,
and to promote anarchy and differences amongst the Islamic World.
Pakistan being the only State on earth with basic ideology of Islam
and today is an atomic power, by the Grace of God which is not
bearable for our perpetual and combined enemy in any case. Pakistan is
their biggest target, one by one, therefore all patriotic forces are
under the obligation to thwart this heinous conspiracy with wisdom and
by practically displaying unity, brotherhood without any
discrimination on the basis of Maslak and Maktab, make it clear that
no enemy howsoever big could create differences amongst us.
We all are followers of Hussain (A.S.), and Hussain (A.S.) belongs to
all, Hussain (A.S.) belongs to Allah. We all are Hussaini and would
pay homage to the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) by observing the Gham-e-Hussain.
The Code of Azadari is as given below:
CODE OF AZADARI 2006
• The government should follow the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi
agreement in connection with bringing out Azadari processions.
• Muharram Azadari Cells should be set up at the Ministry of Interior,
Ministry of Religious Affairs, and at Central, Provincial and District
level and these should be publicised through media so that possible
problems of the Azadars are resolved. These Cells should keep a close
contact with the Muharram Committee of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya
Pakistan.
• Effective and concrete protective measures should be taken before
hand to provide protection to Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions at
sensitive places. If any problem is faced at any place, then the
procession should not be stopped to resolve the problem rather the
procession should be allowed to reach its destination with full
protection as a permanent solution.
• Such a law should be enforced that may not encroach upon the rights
of anyone, peaceful personalities detained in jails should be set free
forthwith after taking oath from them. Restrictions should not be
imposed on zakireen, waizeen and organisers without any reason and if
there is any doubt about anyone then guarantees could be sought from
such persons.
• Special arrangements for light and cleanliness should be made at the
places of Majalis-e-Aza and on the routes of Matmi processions all
over the country and provision of electricity should be ensured, come
what may.
• The Administration should be directed to avoid spreading fear
amongst Azadars and organisers and fully cooperate with them in
Azadari rites so that Azadars could perform their Azadari rites in
peace.
• No one should be allowed to take law into his own hand. Promotion of
biases may be banned. Implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act may be
ensured which was enforced by President Pervez Musharraf but the
banned groups have become active again with new names and are seen
occupying different forums. The government should take strict notice
of this situation.
• God forbid, if any untoward incident takes place or any issue crops
up then it may be resolved through the local administration and the
local Muharram Committee of the TNFJ. The Central Muharram Committee
of the TNFJ may be approached if the issue remains unresolved at local
level.
• The organisers of Majalis should make protective measures on
self-help basis and remain fully alert. The countrymen should keep a
strict eye on enemies of Islam and Pakistan and beware of elements
preaching hatred, enmity and biases. The Government and the media in
particular should avoid and discourage such elements.
• All schools of thought should preach their beliefs and ideologies in
a positive manner, and highlight the achievements of Imam Aali Muqaam
(A.S.) and his near and dear ones. Ulema, waizeen, and zakireen should
give priority to unity of Ummah, survival and integrity of religion,
motherland. Preaching in a negative manner should be considered
media’s enmity with religion, motherland and the nation. The media,
particularly, the electronic media should highlight the great
sacrifices of Martyrs of Karbala in an effective manner, and should
avoid ‘Munkiraat’. All types of music, and comedy programmes should be
suspended during the Ashra Muharramul Haram.
• Only those people should be included in Peace Committees and
Inter-Religion Committee who were not included in any banned
organisation in any case and certification of representatives of
Maktab-e-Tashih from the TNFJ should be declared imminent.
• All leaders should postpone all type of political activities during
the Ashra-e-Muharram and keep Azadari supreme over every thing. Women
should follow the seerat and character of Mukhadderat-e-Ismat and
Taharat, youngsters that of Shahzada Ali Akbar (A.S.), children that
of Shahzada Ali Asghar (A.S.) and Qasim (A.S.) while elders and young
that of Sahabi-e-Rasool Habib ibne Mazahir (R.A.). Discipline should
be taken care of in Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions and any
activity that may be contrary to the dignity of Azadari should be
avoided.
• The dignity and honour of all Makatab and Masalak should be taken
care of rather respect of them all is binding.
• The organisers of Majalis-e-Aza are fully responsible to follow the
‘Code of Azadari’ and also enforce it on others.
