Intl confab on women rights & responsibilities concludes in Iran

TEHRAN, Iran: Marking the anniversary of birth of Hazret-e-Fatimeh Zahra (a.s.) on 20 Jamadi-os Sani, the first international conference on women rights and responsibilities in the Islamic system ended on Sunday with scholars from over two-dozen countries participated.
 
The two-day conference was organized aimed at presenting viewpoints of an Islamic system on women’s rights, facilitating communication among women scholars of the Islamic world, strengthening social, political, and scientific ties between various women’s organizations, and helping establish a united stance to fight against the global arrogance.
 
Scholars from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Tunisia, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Thailand, Palestine and Lebanon attended.
 
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thoughts Ayatullah Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri said the conference aims to devise a legal document within the framework of the international charter of women's rights and responsibilities in the Islamic system.
