ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In line with the announcement made by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, "Youm-e-Wahdat" (Day of Unity) was observed with religious and national spirit on Friday throughout the country to protest Israeli aggression against Lebanon and express solidarity with the oppressed people of Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Kashmir.

On this occasion, peaceful protest rallies, demonstrations and gatherings were held in all small and big cities. In Friday congregations, prayer leaders strongly condemned Israeli attacks and barbarism on Lebanon.

In Rawalpindi and federal capital Islamabad, protest rallies were held under arrangements of TNFJ district Wahdat Committees led by ulema-e-karam, elite and leaders of TNFJ, Mukhtar Force, MSO and other organizations against Zionist aggression. People belonging to all schools of thought chanted slogans against Israel and the United States.

Participants of a protest rally organized by TNFJ in front of Press Club Camp Office Islamabad torched Israeli flag. The demonstrators were holding portraits of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi, different placards and banners inscribed with slogans condemning Israeli aggression and voicing solidarity with the oppressed people.

Addressing the rally, President TNFJ district Islamabad Allama Basharat Hussain Imami read special message of Agha Moosavi marking "Youm-e-Wahdat" in which he warned that not only Iran and Syria but the whole Islamic world could become a target of the aggression being faced by Lebanon today. He urged Muslims that as they have been called Millat-e-Wahida therefore they are duty bound to devise a joint and strong stance practically displaying unity, openly condemn every kind of aggression and biases, trust in Allah because life and death is in His hand.

Strongly slamming Israeli barbarism, Moosavi said Palestine has been reduced to ruins in pretext of abduction of a soldier, blood holi is being played in Lebanon and all this is being committed in UN presence which is naked aggression.

He said we, without any discrimination, fully support oppressed the world over including Lebanese, Afghanis, Iraqis, Palestinians and Kashmiris. he further said we had condemned 9/11 incident but as a result we have been targeted while the UN is shedding tears of crocodile instead of fulfilling her most important responsibilities. He condemned OIC for not convening an emergent meeting in this critical situation. Her criminal silence and cold attitude is taking Islamic world to destruction.

In Rawalpindi, Ulema-e-Karam led a peaceful demonstration organized by TNFJ City to condemn Israeli aggression against Lebanon. The rally urged world organizations to play their role in getting Zionist barbarism stopped in Lebanon and shedding blood of innocent people.

Allama Syed Mohsin Al-Hussaini, while addressing Friday congregation at Qasr-e-Abu Talib (A.S.) denounced colonial-Zionist aggression calling upon UN and OIC to support people of Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Kashmir and Afghanistan, and get peace restored there.
