RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The two-day high level
meeting of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan, presided
over by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah
Moosavi ended with some resolutions adopted by the
participants. According to Central Spokesman of the Tehreek,
Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, the participants of the meeting
through a resolution strongly condemned the continued
incidents of terrorism in the country, particularly the recent
Karachi incident and said Manmohan Singh or President Bush
would not come here themselves rather they would shatter peace
in Pakistan through their agents. The resolution called upon
President Pervez Musharraf to ensure effective implementation
of Anti-Terrorism Act so as to root out terrorism from the
country and in this connection take strict notice of the
participation of banned groups in political activities with
new names, their inclusion in political alliances and their
presence on all government and opposition forums and the media
because encouraging the banned groups is tantamount to enmity
with the nation and the country. The resolution demanded
immediate release of the innocent people arrested after
incidents of terrorism from different cities including Karachi
and form a broad-based Tribunal to probe all incidents of
terrorism.

Another resolution made it clear that Pakistan is the result
of combined sacrifices and joint struggle of all schools of
thought therefore giving rights to all on the basis of
equality is necessary for the stability and development of the
country. The resolution demanded implementation of May 21,
1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement for solution of long-standing
problems of the Maktab-e-Tashih that include implementation of
Fiqh-e-Jafariya for Shias in Pakistan, issuance of separate
Deenyat for Shia students, setting up of Shia Faculty in all
Islami Universities of Pakistan, effective representation on
the basis of equality in Islamic Research Institute, higher
courts, media, and Council of Islamic Ideology, appointment of
Shia judge in Federal Shariat Court, end to all uncalled for
restrictions in connection with Azadari, setting up of a
separate Shia Auqaf Board, revoking of Article 30(3) of Police
Act 1861, and immediate steps for the reconstruction of
Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Muallah.

Another resolution while condemning Israeli aggression against
Lebanon, expressed solidarity with the oppressed and have-nots
of Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir and Palestine and
strongly demanded from United Nations, ICC and other
international organisations to break their criminal silence
and adopt a correct policy by getting Afghanistan and Iraq
vacated by allied forces, ousting Israeli forces from Lebanon
and Palestine by declaring her aggressive, get the Palestine
issue resolved under Camp David and Oslo agreements, and get
the Kashmir issue resolved under the United Nations
resolutions keeping to the desire of the people living there.
The resolution also called upon the international
organisations and the Pope John Paul to play their role in
saving the humanity from destruction.
The resolution called upon American President Bush to be wise
and do something good at the end of his presidential tenure
because there is a saying of the Maula-e-Kainaat Hazrat Ali (A.S.)
that goes that keep a contact with people in the world in a
manner that they remain excited to meet you and shed tears
when you leave them. The resolution said that like it is
obligatory to help the oppressed, similarly the help of the
oppressor is to stop him from oppression so that he may seek
pardon. The resolution strongly condemned threats hurled
against Iran and Syria and called upon the Muslim States to
adopt a wise policy in the present circumstances and avoid
inviting trouble so that no one could see towards us with bad
intentions. Yet another resolution expressing concern on the
decision of Ministries of Interior, Foreign and Religious
Affairs declaring permission letters a must, for those
Pakistani Zaireen who desire to go to Iran has demanded to
facilitate the Zaireen intending to go to Iran, Syria, and
Saudi Arabia.
The meeting decided to observe Ashra-e-Muwaddat from 1-10
Rajab-ul-Murajjab and Universal Jashan-e-Murtaza from 11-13
Rajab-ul-Murajjab. In this connection Assad Ali Hasni and
Ammar Yassir Alvi have been appointed Conveners while Saqlain
Haider and Adeel Sarwar Haideri have been appointed as
Secretary, respectively. The participants of the meeting
demanded from the government to take effective steps to
improve law and order situation during the programmes of
Rajab-ul-Murajjab while the people should themselves remain
fully alert and the media including that of electronic media
should give full coverage to these programmes.
