In Rawalpindi, addressing a Majlis-e-Tarhim marking the
occasion at Jamia-tul Momineen Central spokesman TNFJ Syed
Qamar Haider Zaidi said motherland Pakistan is fruit of joint
struggle of all Makatib-e-Fikr, objective of its formation was
establishment of justice and equity and fulfillment of rights
of all on equality basis. But rights were being trampled since
Zia regime. The first harm was to sabotage Basic Ideology
negating the principles of Musawwar-e-Pakistan and Founder of
Pakistan.
Therefore, TNFJ not only challenged Zia-ul Haq rather by
occupying Secretariat it told that Pakistan is not property of
any group or sect rather inheritance of all recognized schools
of thought, so injustice against anyone would never be
accepted. General Zia used Private Shariat Bill as a pretext
to push Pakistan back from Islamic State. TNFJ was the first
to respond saying there is no need of any Shariat Bill in
presence of 73 Constitution because Islam is Pakistan's
official religion under the constitution, and Islam cares of
rights of all under demands of justice.
On the same basis, during Ziai regime, 6 July 1980 Agreement
and then 21 May 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Accord were inked, and
these Shia Demands are on agenda to-date which include
implementation of Fiqh-e-Jafariya for Maktab-e-Tashayyo,
separate diniyat curricula for Shia students, establishement
of Shia faculty in all Islamic universities, effective
representation in Islamic Research Institute, appointment of
Shia Judge in federal shariat court, ideological
representation in high courts, equal ideological
representation in media, end of unjust sanctions on Milad-un
Nabi and Azadari processions, formation of separate Awqaf
Board, reconstruction of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla,
effective representation in Islamic Ideology Council and
annulment of amendment in section 30 (3) of Police Act 1861.
Qamar Zaidi urged the government to care equally
Maktab-e-Tashayyo in changes being done at present in
education field. Condemning preference to some over some
others by Minister of religious affairs in offering Hajj, he
demanded equal quota for Maktab-e-Tashayyo.
He made clear that TNFJ supports fulfillment of rights of all,
residing in Pakistan, on equal basis as in it lays secret of
motherland's honor, dignity and unity.
