By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Majalis and Matamdari programmes in connection with Universal Ashra-e-Bano-e-Tajdaar-e-Hal Ata continued throughout Pakistan as announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

In the twin cities of Federal Capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi like other cities, ulema, waizeen and zakireen in their address delivered at mosques and Imambargahs under the auspices of different religious and Matmi organizations and religious institutions highlighted the seerat and teachings of Hazrat Batool (S.A.) while devotees of Mustafa (SAW) and Murtaza (A.S.) presented condolences and pursa in Bargah-e-Khatmi Martabat (SAW).

A Majlis-e-Aza was held under the auspices of Dukhtran-e-Islam. Secretary of the Tanzeem Syeda Abeer Haider Zaidi and Khateeba Syeda Binte Musa Moosavi addressing on the topic of Status of Woman in Islam said that Islam blessed woman a dignified place in society courtesy the presence of Hazrat Zahra (S.A.). They said the Khatoon-e-Jannat (S.A.) guided women in moral values, habits and household matters that may give them a dignified place in society rather they could bring up men of character.

They said the role of Fatima (S.A.) is like a beacon of light for womenfolk in the darkness of ignorance and misguidance and women could succeed here and the Hereafter by following her teachings.

Allama Qamar Haider Zaidi, addressing Majlis-e-Aza organized by Bawa Syed Abbas Ali Shah Naqvi at Ali Masjid and Imambargah Daultala said that when women was used to be snatched from the lap and put in grave, it was Paighambar-e-Azam (SAW) who saved this crying humanity by preaching the universal message of Islam and presenting such a honourable character in shape of Fatima Zahra (S.A.) that would remain a beacon of light for women at large till eternity. He said in the present modern era, if those women who are fond of absolute freedom, desire to spend their life with respect and honour and get their rights protected then they would have to transform their character and deeds into Seerat-e-Fatima.

Zakir Syed Karam Hussain Shah, Zakir Zurriyat Imran Shirazi, Zakir Murid Hussain Padhrar, Syed Sikandar Ali Naqvi, Zakir Mohsin Abbas and others also addressed the gathering. A Matmi procession was also taken out on the occasion in which Matmi Azadaran participated in a large number.

A unanimous resolution adopted on the occasion said that Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam that is why its official religion is Islam. It expressed concern that some powers were giving signals of changes in the consensus Constitution that would be commensurate with changing the Basic Ideology. The resolution made it clear that constitutions are not made the day in and day out, it is easier said than done. Amendment could be made in any article of the Constitution but making a new Constitution may put the nation and the country in a crisis situation. Therefore, it said, the rulers and politicians should exercise seriousness and do not touch the already settled issues.

Another resolution demanded from the government to make special arrangements on the occasion of Shahadat of Khatoon-e-Jannat (S.A.) and main Azadari processions and Majalis should be given full coverage on the electronic media.

It reiterated that Ahle Tashayyo of Pakistan would support any call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi for the protection of their beliefs and rights.
