RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has announced to observe the Chehlum of Allama Fazil Hussain Alvi Shaheed and Maulana Maula Bux Jafri Shaheed on May 26 throughout the country.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of central office-bearers of the Tehreek. Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of the Tehreek, presided over the meeting that held here on Tuesday. The participants of the meeting also reviewed the current situation prevailing in the country and the organisational progress on this occasion.

Delivering his presidential address, Mazhar Ali said our main objective is Islam that is commensurate with subservience to Allah and serving His creature which is a blessing for us while sacrificing life for this purpose is Shahadat.

The live nations remember their Shuhada, therefore, the TNFJ would observe Chehlum of Allama Fazil Alvi Shaheed and Maulana Maula Bux Jafri Shaheed with national spirit on Friday, May 26 throughout the country. Majalis-e-Taraheem, Quran Khwani and Fateha Khwani will be organised in all small and big cities and towns of all the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas including the Federal Capital Islamabad for upgrading the status of the Shuhada on this occasion. Ulema, waizeen and zakireen in their addresses would pay homage to the Shuhada.

Mazhar Ali said that Allama Alvi and Maulana Jafri played an important role in preaching and disseminating Tauheed, Risalat and Wilayat as a result of which the satanic forces were afraid of them and they have displayed their heinousness and cowardice by murdering them which is an open act of terrorism.

He demanded from the government to arrest the assassins of Allama Alvi and Maulana Jafri forthwith and set up a tribunal to investigate all these incidents. He expressed his concern that the terrorist elements were still roaming about openly and that poses a question mark in the presence of Anti-Terrorism Act.

By a resolution, adopted at the meeting, the participants reiterated their resolve to offer any sacrifice for respect to Marja’iyyat, protection of dignity of Sadaat, achievement of rights, honour, integrity, and defence of Pakistan.

Another resolution called upon the government to set up a broad-based tribunal to probe all incidents of terrorism and unveil the real culprits. It strongly condemned the arrest of innocent people with regard to Nishtar Park incident and declaring it an injustice demanded from the government to release all innocent persons forthwith and arrest the real assassins instead and give them exemplary punishment so as to thwart the combined enemy’s conspiracy to create anarchy in the nation and the country and destabilise the motherland.

Meanwhile, TNFJ Central Committee has been formed to organise programmes of Chehlum of Allama Fazil Alvi and Maulana Maula Bux Jafri. Zulfiqar Ali Raja has been nominated as Convener, while Assad Haideri as Deputy Convener and Dr. S. Zaman as Secretary of the Committee.
