HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Al-Hozaat Al-Ilmiyah in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala have announced two-day holiday to mourn the sad demise of Grand Ayatullah Sheikh Mirza JKawwad At-Tabrizi.

Expressing grief over his death, the Hozaat extended condolence to Al-Imam Al-Asr Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (A) and prayed that may Allah overwhelm the deceased Ayatullah in His mercy and place him in Aala Il-Liyyeen.

Ayatullah Sheikh Ishaq Al-Fayaz, Sheikh Bashir An-Najafi, Muhammad Reza As-Sistani, Hadi Aal-i-Razi, Sayyed Ali Akbar Al-Hayeri, Sheikh Muhammad Baqir Al-Irwani and other clerics have ceased their lectures marking the occasion.

Meanwhile, Holy Najaf Grand Ayaat Sayyed Ali Al-Husseini As-Sistani, Sayyed Muhammad Said Al-Hakim, Sheikh Ishaq Al-Fayaz and Sheikh Hafez Bashir An-Najafi, in their separate condolence statements, have voiced their deep grief over the death of Ayatullah At-Tabrizi who spent all his life in serving the religion of Muhammad (ZS) and his Ahl-ol Beit (A).

Chief of Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq who also heads United Iraqi Alliance Sayyed Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim has issued a statement to mark the occasion.

He presented condolence to the Islamic world, Najaf and Qom Marajay, and Ayatullah At-Tabrizi’s followers across the world. He paid him rich tributes.
