Kuwait marks 83rd anniversary of Baqee shrines razing

KUWAIT CITY: Anniversary of Demolition of sacred shrines of
A’emmah-tol Baqee (a.s.) in the holy city of Medinah was
observed on Shawal 8 in Kuwait.
Sacred shrines of four imams from the progeny of holy Prophet
Muhammad (s.v.) – Al-Imam Al-Hasan, Al-Imam Zein-ol Abidin,
Al-Imam Baqer, Al-Imam Jafer Sadeq (a.s.) – were flattened on
Shawal 8, 1344 hijri, 1924. Saudi rulers committed this
heinous crime.
Majalis al-azaiyah were held at different husseiniyaat and
mosques to mark the sad occasion. Husseini speaker Sheikh
Abdur-Redha Ma’ash addressed a majlis al-azaa at husseiniyah
Ar-Rasul Al-Adham Al-Karbalaiyah (s.v.). Husseini elegist
Alhaj Mostafa An-Nayeb recited dirges at the majlis which was
attended by thousands.
