Africa observes Imam Ali (A) martyrdom anniversary

SIERRA LEONE: October 15 this year marks the anniversary of
the martyrdom of Imam Ali (alay-his-salam), son-in-law, cousin
and first infallible successor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sal-lallahu
alayhi wa aalihi wasallam) on Ramadan 21 in African and some
other countries.
Muslims in Sierra Leone are observing the anniversary.
Imam Ali (alay-his-salam) was assassinated in Kufa by
Abdurrahman bin Muljim, a Khariji, on the twenty first of
Ramadan, year 40 A.H..
